
The following items are all of the elements required by your
community in order to implement a program under The Eddie Pope
Foundation, Inc. All requirements must be met in order to carry and
use the names:
“The Eddie Pope Foundation, Inc.”; “The Eddie Pope Urban Soccer
League”; and “Use Your Head Education Program”.
The following is a breakdown of the amount of funding your community
should have in place:
$7,000 stipend for Eddie Pope Foundation associate director for your
participating site
$1,000 equipment and uniform supplement
your program will receive:
1. 1 ball bag per team
2. 8 balls per team
3. 1 ball pump
4. one uniform for each child (shorts, shirt, socks, shin guards)
5. 1 coach’s pack for each volunteer (2 shirts, 2 shorts, 2 socks, 1
bag, 1 warm-up)
$ 500 referee fees
$ 300 state association fees and insurance
$ 2,200 Use Your Head Education Program
$ 2,000 “Breakaway: A Day in DC” program supplement
$ 4,000 towards administrative costs absorbed by the Foundation

$17,000 Total funding required by your local community
1. Each associate director must sign the “Associate Director’s
Agreement”.
2. Each volunteer must have at least 2 references on file with the
associate director.
3. Each volunteer must have a background check on file.
4. The Eddie Pope Foundation, Inc. and/or The Eddie Pope Urban
Soccer League name and/or logo must
be placed on all t-shirts, banners, uniforms, informative
aids when appropriate.
5. All questions regarding the program must be directed to the
regional director of the Foundation.
6. Each program must participate in the following portions of the
program:
a. a spring/summer soccer season
b. Breakaway: A Day in DC
c. Fall Foreign Exchange
d. the nutrition program
e. the tutoring/mentoring program where appropriate
f. a spring or fall fundraiser (created and run by the
participants)
